The membership associate supports the mission of the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) through outreach and recruitment of new association members, along with the engagement and retention of existing members. Capitalizing on member engagement, positive member experiences, and the strong CVMA brand, the membership associate works to ensure innovative messaging and effective communication of membership benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities •Provides polished, exceptional service for CVMA members and prospective members with a goal of fostering member connections and long-term member loyalty; responds to telephone and email inquiries on member benefits, dues, and programs •Identifies opportunities to enhance member engagement and increase association’s relationship-building efforts •Ensures the CVMA brand is upheld and positively promoted in all interactions with members and prospective members •Oversees the CVMA association management system (YourMembership) and serves as main point of contact for all member database inquiries •Provides regular membership reports, including analysis of enrollment/renewals and trends in member feedback or questions; makes recommendations on necessary changes to membership program •Continually monitors and enhances value proposition and member benefits package for association members •Monitors and reports on affinity programs, including promotion to members and relationships with program providers; identifies opportunities for new affinity relationships to enhance CVMA’s benefit offerings •Takes ownership of and serves as project leader for all membership activities, including recruitment, renewal, retention, member services •Working with Communications department, updates membership sections of CVMA website, provides regular member communications (both mail and electronic), and works with other departments to keep information current and up-to-date for members •Administers the Certified Veterinary Assistant program by monitoring exam results and by sending certification acknowledgements and renewal reminders •Manages the CVMA Rabies Tag program including the annual marketing campaign, online ordering, coordination with manufacturer, and order processing •Supports other departments as needed to ensure CVMA members receive an exceptional, positive experience
Qualifications •Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school •1-3 years’ experience with an emphasis in customer service, associations, and/or database management. •Strong experience working with database management systems, Microsoft Suite, and new and emerging technology platforms •Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with members, colleagues, and general callers •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail •A professional, positive attitude •Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while working in a fast-paced, high-output environment •Ability to identify problems and correct them with appropriate follow through •Some local travel, and occasional night and weekend work for events, is required
