Reporting to the Director of Education, NRPA’s Education Manager of Online Learning oversees the development and delivery of online education for the association, supporting current education programs and remaining strategic, innovative, and adaptable to new trends in the online learning industry in developing new programs to meet industry needs. The education manager must maintain strong organizational and project management skills to maintain multiple, simultaneous projects such as managing the learning management system (LMS), producing online courses, webinars, live virtual events, handle customer service related issues, and adapt other techniques as necessary to further the mission of NRPA.
Essential Functions • Responsible for maintaining current course content, seeing products through their life cycle, and handling customer service issues as they arise. • Gather and evaluate data to make suggestions for future programming or adjustments to current programs as necessary. • Work with various internal and external stakeholders to consult, identify, produce, and market online learning and educational content. • Maintain the online learning budget. • Produce online live events including frequent webinars, conference streaming, and virtual conferences reinforcing communities of practice. • Manage production of online learning courses and certificate programs including overseeing vender relationships related to the LMS and other online products. • Open to new ideas and other duties as they arise and are assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree, Masters’ preferred in instructional design, education, educational technology, or another related field • 3-5 years of experience developing and overseeing online learning programs, preferably at an association. • Expert knowledge working with various software and code languages including: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, Learning Management Systems, HTML, Java, and other software as required. • Experience working with and managing teams. • Experience with project and budget management. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Resourcefulness, initiative, and creativity valued.
