NACS, the association that represents the global convenience and fuel retailing industry, currently seeks a driven, solutions-oriented, creative thinker as a Retail Membership Engagement Manager. This role will be responsible for recruiting, retaining, and engaging new and existing member companies and their employees to become more active members of the association. This position works closely with Retail Membership and engages with other NACS teams that drive and support member engagement.
Capitalizing on volunteer and member engagement, positive member experiences, and a strong organizational brand, the Retail Membership Engagement Manager works across the association to ensure innovative messaging and effective communication of membership benefits.

Responsibilities:
Assists and promotes the culture of the entire NACS Organization through cooperation, dedication, and open, honest, and constructive communications. Supports NACS’ Brand Promise, NACS Goals and Values, etc.
Actively recruits new members and communicates with existing member employees daily; develops meaningful relationships with members.
Continuously reinforces the value proposition of NACS retail membership while working with the Retail Membership team on enhancing and highlighting areas of value in NACS retail membership benefits.
Research and share marketing concepts for attaining new members; assist in development of recruitment lists and contacts.
Ensures bull’s eye target retailers are aware of and engage in the full complement of NACS events, activities, products, and services.
Become knowledgeable of the entire portfolio of NACS offers and promotes them to new and existing members.
Assist the Retail Membership team in achieving, and exceeding goals based on the strategic initiatives of the team and the association.
Responds to general membership inquiries related to applications and renewals.
Proactively engages and assists members and attendees at the NACS Show and other NACS events.
Supports the Director of Membership by preparing and distributing mailings including: monthly membership packages and marketing materials for events.
Updates NACS Membership Database on an ongoing basis.
Other duties as determined in the normal course of business.
Qualifications:
Self-starter with the ability to work alone or as part of a group.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities at once.
Good written and oral communications skills.
Good computer skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Potential to travel on NACS business approximately 20 percent
Experience with Avectra NetForum a plus.
Background in | exposure to public relations | communications processes and tools.
An interest in | a passion for | a background in sales and public speaking
