The Membership Data Analyst delivers statistical analysis on membership data and trends to provide an understanding of member and customer behaviors that support the Membership department in identifying opportunities and implementing successful recruitment, retention and other membership enhancements and initiatives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Responsible for understanding, tracking and analyzing ASCM membership and customer data: using quantitative, qualitative and analytical skills to create/generate reports to support new ideas and enhancement based on trends to support membership and revenue growth.
Other responsibilities include:
Manage Aptify membership data and report generation
Data reconsolidation - working cross-departmentally to reconcile related membership entries/orders/rebates in the AMS database to ensure more accurate monthly and yearend reporting.
Monitor (weekly and/or monthly) business intelligence data for trending and product planning input
Examine workflow and processes for opportunities to improve processes and procedures to generate revenue, contain costs, or increase customer satisfaction.
In collaboration with the Membership team, as well as cross-departmentally, present data that contributes to decisions for Membership as well as ASCM as a whole.
Responsible for maintaining and improving data integrity relating to Membership
Develop and evaluate membership AMS standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Execute special projects or other work as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Five years of experience with an advanced skill level in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, statistical analysis)
3-5 years of professional experience in Marketing, Membership or a non-profit association
3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis
Prior experience working in or with associations is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Problem analysis and problem resolution at both strategic and functional levels
Strong aptitude for working with Association Management Systems (relational databases)
Strong aptitude for analyzing data, identifying trends, as well as research using the web
Comfortable with data processing, database applications and write/generate report queries using SQL
Proficient with PowerBI and other data analytical tools
Excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong customer service work ethic
Self-motivated and ability to effectively establish work priorities
Strong attention to detail
