The American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) is currently searching for an Administrative Coordinator. If you answered yes to the questions above, this may be the position for you!
The Administrative Coordinator will provide clerical support for the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Advocacy. This role is responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer with day to day administrative duties, special projects, and coordination of corporate outreach and meetings with external partners and stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Advocacy Department by preparing documents, including official correspondence to government entities, responding to member inquiries, and supporting planning efforts related to the annual Public Policy Forum.
Provide general administrative assistance with special projects and preparing correspondence and presentation materials for Chief Operating Officer and Director of Advocacy.
Assist with various preparation activities in advance of, and following, Board Meetings and Leadership events, Corporate Partnership/Sponsorship Meetings, Industry Allies Council (IAC) Meetings, and Annual Meeting.
Assist with development and updates to PowerPoint presentations, meeting materials, formal communication, proposals, spreadsheets and budget materials as requested.
Serve as the AADE administrative contact for state and federal legislative issues.
Research, proofread, and publish content on the MY AADE e-Advocacy forum.
Uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
3-5 years previous experience working in a professional environment required.
Previous administrative support experience required, with ability to create professional documents and presentations for external distribution.
Advanced education courses in related field preferred.
Experience with organizational websites, social media and professional outreach preferred. Prior exposure to marketing and communication project work a plus.
