The American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) seeks an Education Specialist to work closely with industry experts and association staff in the creation of training materials for fire protection contractors. This valued team member applies critical thinking to connect learning objectives with training deliverables, uses creativity to construct dynamic presentations and communications, and coordinates with multiple internal departments to achieve overall organizational goals.
Advance development of education projects through established milestones and ensure these are communicated to stakeholders
Course build (through collaboration with SME to include outline, description, learning objectives, content, and assessments) design, and maintenance of on-demand and live training offerings, including maintenance of master files
Effectively applies learner feedback to the overall update and enhancement of education programming
Presentation updates of live webinar content to maintain a consistent appearance of all published content
Design and maintenance of live seminar content (PowerPoint presentations, supplemental handouts, etc.)
Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts and Technical Services to produce quality training presentations, manuals, and assessments for AFSA training programs

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree required and/or minimum of two years of education-related work experience.
Experience: Minimum of two years of education-related work experience. Minimum of one-year project management experience desired; technical writing a plus.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
