The purpose of this job is to serve our members, customers and co-workers.
This position is responsible for developing and executing fundraising activities for the Fund for Healthcare Leadership and supporting the Voluntary Giving Program. Responsibilities will include support as well as project management, benefit fulfillment and stewardship.
I. Fundraising Activities 85% of Time
Develop Fund for Healthcare Leadership marketing plan. Manage and implement the marketing strategies as outlined in the Fund for Healthcare Leadership Marketing Plan.
Develop and manage the strategies for donor identification, research, solicitation, cultivation and stewardship.
Manage all solicitation strategies for the Fund for Healthcare Leadership.
Manage the internal systems for collecting and reporting donor contributions.
Assist the Vice President, Development with volunteer management.
Assist Vice President, Development as needed in preparation and implementation of donor meetings and events.
Represent the Voluntary Giving Program both on-site and off-site at the request of, and, in the absence of, the Vice President.
Serves as a resource person to help respond to and resolve any issues for corporate and individual donors.
Using netFORUM, enters donations, maintains donor database and creates management reports.
Maintains donor acknowledgement and correspondence.
Maintains the Fund for Healthcare Leadership’s exposure on ache.org.
II. Corporate Partnership Activities 10% of Time
Executes the logistics of corporate partner activities at Congress, and provides on-site support when requested.
Collaborates with the Corporate Partnership Specialist initiatives to identify and target companies for corporate giving.
Executes, tracks and measures corporate giving initiatives and campaigns.
III. Miscellaneous Activities 5% of Time
Completes other related activities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing and/or development background preferred.
Minimum of two-three years experience in marketing and/or association work.
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with contact database operations.
Must be organized and detail oriented.
Must have strong customer service orientation.
Must have strong team orientation and show initiative.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must possess sound judgment, discretion and a high degree of professionalism.
Must have regular and predictable attendance.
Must be willing to travel.
