The data analyst will drive the analysis, data discovery and interpretation of data as it relates to understanding AANA’s customers and members. This position will play an integral role in helping the Director, Member Services and Engagement and Chief Marketing Officer build a data-driven team while helping to deliver on analysis for strategic initiatives across the organization.
This is a new role at AANA and is an unique opportunity to work collaboratively as well as independently. We are seeking a candidate who is innately curious and deeply analytical. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on delivering results and have a restlessness to answer “why?” questions. A customer service mindset is essential.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analysis and Reporting: Identifies, develops and executes analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present recommendations that will help shape member engagement, sales and marketing roadmap. Uses data analysis to identify trends, create and maintain dashboards and adhoc reports, as requested.
Marketing Insights: Develops a thorough understanding of customer behavior, product and program trends to inform decision making. Defines and develops customer segments based on segmentation analysis. Determines cadence and sequence of customer touchpoints across channels.
Data Governance and Integrity: Collaborates with the IT department to develop and enforce basic data governance to ensure customer data is measured effectively across the organization. Partners with the data processing team to accurately and efficiently capture data. Organizes and manages customer and marketing data. Ensures the accuracy of the reporting data and analytics.
BI Development: Works closely with IT to research BI tools and reporting/analytics solutions for internal stakeholders and identify ways to capture customer data in Aptify.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
3-5 years of customer and marketing analysis experience required.
Experience in proactively developing and improving processes.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics or other related field.
Qualifications & Other Skills:
Advanced experience with Excel and SQL.
Intermediate experience with Tableau, PowerBI or other data visualization tools.
Experience working with Association Management Systems (AMS) such as Aptify, Personify or iMIS.
Experience working with large volumes of data, combining and reconciling data from different sources with ability to turn data into insights.
Passionate about data and discovering new trends and insights.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the association.
Demonstrated project management skills.
