The Director, Science and Research at the Heart Failure Society of America will be responsible for the development and management of the science, research and patient programs at the Association. The Director will manage one full-time staff person and oversee the work of external consultants in this area.
Supervises and administers HFSA science, research and patient programs
Provides science and research expertise and consultation for all areas of association, including Marketing and Communications, Meetings and Education, and other areas
Provides oversight of the development of scientific statements and position papers for the association
Manages the Heart Failure Research Network program
Manages and provides oversight of staff responsible for production of the Journal of Cardiac Failure (Manager, Publications)
Manages the patient programs at the association, including Community Education Program, Patient App, Patient and Caregivers Day, and Patient Education Modules
Serve as staff liaison for Patient Committee, Publications and Scientific Statements Committee, and Research Committee
Other duties as assigned
Minimum of five years' experience working in related fields at a health care association

Ability to maintain personal accountability for success
Ability to demonstrate proficiency using Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel

Telecommuting is allowed.
