The American Urological Association (AUA), the premier urologic association providing support to the urologic community, is currently searching for an energetic, detail-oriented candidate for our Education Coordinator, Live Programs position.
This position is responsible for coordination of Office of Education (OE) live program activities throughout the year and at the Annual Meeting as assigned. Responsible for the quality; cost effectiveness and overall success of the projects as assigned. Liaises effectively and professionally with other AUA departments, as well as faculty, vendors and partners. Adheres to the ACCME criteria and policies that are relevant to the AUA and the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support (SCS). Ensures accurate ACCME documentation for assigned activities. Works collaboratively with eLearning team to maximize the reach of the educational content of programs. Coordinates special projects as assigned.
The individual in this position will:
Actively engages with the OE team and “lives” by the team’s mission and values.
Assists manager in the development of annual OE budgets for assigned educational activities and is accountable for the financial success of assigned programs and courses.
Provides evidence to manager and director to facilitate informed decisions to be made in relation to educational activities. Provides information and metrics for reports and other documentation as needed.
Actively participates in the development of efficient workflow systems including standard operating procedures, project plans, individual performance/priority plans and team meetings.
Works with Chair of Education, course director(s), faculty and other stakeholders on all tasks associated with the educational activity, including pre- and post-activity meetings, developing educational objectives, preparing educational and promotional materials, communicating with and supporting faculty and attendees, executing all tasks associated with industry support for educational activities, making required logistical arrangements and managing evaluation and outcomes assessment of the activity.
Builds all live programs on AUAUniversity for registration, distribution of content/materials, and CME claim credit process.
Collaborates with the eLearning team to maximize the reach of the educational content of programs through the AUAUniversity.
Collaborates effectively with AUA departments (e.g. Information Systems, MarComm, Convention & Meetings, Industry Relations) to ensure the OE educational programs are successful and executed professionally and, further, meet needs of AUA members and the urologic care team.
Ensures assigned educational activities are compliant with ACCME accreditation and SCS requirements. Maintains CME files for assigned educational activities.

Candidates must be able to provide superior service delivery while working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. It is essential that the individual in this role have strong organizational and communication skills. In addition:
Bachelor’s degree required;
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in professional education with a focus on live activities required;
Experience with medical education and ACCME or like accreditation preferred;
Familiarity with non-profits/medical associations/medical terminology/CME credit a plus;
Ability to work independently and as a member of AUA/OE team;
Takes initiative and has willingness to take ownership for assigned work;
Highly proficient project management skills;
Ability to coordinate several complex projects at one time, ensuring deadlines are met;
Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required;
Ability to present ideas and information to different stakeholders;
Must be customer focused;
Experience with a learning management system preferred;
Highly proficient level of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Professional attitude and appearance required;
Must be available for occasional weekend and/or extended hours as required
