For more than 35 years, the Coalition for Government Procurement (“the Coalition”) has brought together public and private sector procurement leaders to work towards the mutual goal of common sense acquisition. The Coalition is a non-profit trade association of government contractors that offer the latest services and products from the commercial market to Federal agencies. We are unique in the broad scope of industries that we represent—from IT, professional services, and security-related firms to pharmaceuticals and healthcare products.
The Coalition is seeking an experienced policy analyst. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Public Policy. Job responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the delivery of excellent acquisition policy information to Coalition members
Coordinating assigned policy committees. This includes providing subject matter expertise, setting up meetings and identifying agenda items with committee chairs and relevant CGP staff, and coordinating the participation of guest speakers.
Serving as point person for committee action items and respond to member questions from assigned committees.
Assisting Coalition management in communicating association positions on policy matters to the government, including drafting comments, policy papers, presentations, etc.
Representing the association at government and industry meetings.
Conducting acquisition-related research.
Maintaining a working knowledge of policy issues of importance to Coalition members.
Maintaining an annual calendar of all committee meetings.
Providing CGP CRM research services as well as GSA, SSQ, eLibrary, and analysis.
Serving as primary liaison for member policy-related communications and information through CRM with goal of increasing member engagement through new system.
Providing overall assistance with all issues related to CRM from members and staff.
3. Assisting in maintaining relevant, timely, interactive communications with members
Developing and maintains policy and event related content for Coalition website.
Manage the planning, production, and publication of weekly newsletter.
4. Other duties as assigned.
2-4 years government contracting experience or equivalent
High level of technology skills and knowledge
Excellent communication skills including research, writing and presenting procurement policy information clearly and concisely

Our members collectively account for approximately 70% of the sales generated through the GSA Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) program and about half of the commercial item solutions purchased annually by the Federal Government. Coalition members include small, medium, and large business concerns.
