The IT Manager is responsible for assisting the Director, Information Technology in the acquisition, installation, support, and maintenance of all information technology systems internally, externally and hosted in the cloud. Programming, report writing and system configuration experience relating to Association Management Systems and deep knowledge of and relevant experience with Microsoft Office 365 configuration and administration is highly desired. The IT Manager works closely with management and staff to provide Help Desk support and to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementation to help deliver the expected strategic benefits to the business side of the organization.
What you’ll own (Responsibilities)
Manages the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the organization's hardware/software, including that used in voice communication and audio-visual systems and applications.
Owns the delivery and maintenance of cloud-based services, including directory, email, storage, identity, security, web conferencing and telephony.
Possesses deep knowledge of and relevant experience with Microsoft Office 365 configuration and administration.
Demonstrates and applies knowledge of virtualization in the maintenance of hosts and VMs.
Ensures availability and usability of VoIP telecommunications systems.
Provides technical support and problem resolution to local and remote team members.
Implements IT solutions and processes to streamline functions and improve productivity.
Provides project management by documenting requirements, creating plans, and working with staff and vendors to successfully deliver projects.
Experience with Association Management Systems implementations and upgrades.
Ensures documents and certificates such as product registrations, SSL certificates, maintenance agreements, service contracts, etc. related to technology operations and/or technology services are evaluated, updated and processed.
Manages network operations, including troubleshooting connectivity problems and supporting and maintaining all networking hardware.
Serves team members with patience and empathy. Presents technical information simply and understandably.
Participates effectively in periodic IT budgeting exercises.
What you’ll bring to the job (Requirements)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
3-7 years non-profit or Corporate IT experience required
3 years non-profit experience highly desired
3 years Microsoft Office 365 preferred
Experience with AMS implementations and upgrades preferred
Experience with ACGI’s Association Anywhere highly desired
Experience with database programming and analytics a plus
Strong leadership and technical aptitude
Strong vendor and project management background
Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment
Solid and effective oral and written communications
Organized and neat
Physical Requirements & Environment
Typical office setting with routine sitting and occasional standing. Routine use of basic office equipment and computer. Occasional local and out of town travel is required for this position. Occasional evening and/or weekend work maybe required based on business needs. Routine telecommuting is allowed. Occasional lifting objects or equipment up to 35 lbs.
