IRTBA is seeking a part-time Membership Coordinator to become an integral part of our team! Initiative, self-starter, strong interpersonal, and relationship-building skills are a must.
Welcome new members, identify customer needs, and perform strategies and tactics for on-boarding
Execute recruitment strategies and member retention programs
Develop, maintain and distribute recruitment lists for membership, produce reports, and produce leads and sales
Assemble monthly membership reports to determine levels of attrition, retention, resignations, renewals, engagement, and diversification of membership
Assist with member events including registration set-up, Membership Ambassador Meet-and-Greet meetings prior to events, and serve as support staff for IRTBA member events
Collect and maintain information in the association database – including member contact information, opt-in mailing lists, and governance/committee folders.
Compile and write membership content for a weekly eNewsletter
Maintain the data collection for, and edit the annual transportation industry directory
Coordinate the annual renewal for committee volunteers and committee selection
Serve as staff liaison on committees as assigned; coordinate meeting schedules, solicit agenda items, produce meeting agendas, transcribe meeting minutes, send meeting correspondence, and track committee member participation
Processes receivable payments for membership, events, etc.
Assist in answering general telephone calls regarding membership, association events, general website questions, etc.
Provide general administrative support
Provide excellent customer service to all IRTBA Members
Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned
Previous experience in membership sales, customer service, or other related fields
Ability to build rapport with members and prospective members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, communications, and project-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Detail-oriented and hyper-focused on superior customer service and satisfaction
Ability to thrive by effectively managing details and deadlines on multiple fronts in a fast-paced environment
Understand association functions, namely membership and related services, governance, dues structures, and meetings is preferred
Possess excellent research and data collection skills
Self-motivated, energetic learner
Comfortable with working in a collaborative team environment
Some local meeting travel is required, including a few evening events per year
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint are required
Excellent grammar and writing skills are required
Experience with membership organizations and/or community outreach preferred
Editing skills a plus
Additional Salary Information: Part-time, hourly position, working 18-24 hours per work week.
Flexible schedule/working hours – must work during the business day/week.
