Facilitates and administers activities related to the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and some committees of IBLCE, a global non-profit certification organization, to include but not limited to scheduling meetings, facilitating agendas, reports, and meeting summaries, preparing meeting materials including semi-annual Board books, and communicating with Board members regarding related activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain regular contact with the CEO regarding ongoing projects with the volunteer leadership, committees and task forces as assigned and assist with meeting strategic goals, objectives, and timelines.
Manage the work of several committees and taskforces by serving as staff liaison as assigned.
Prepare for committee and task force meetings well in advance working closely with the senior staff liaison and prepares meeting summaries and reports accurately and in a timely fashion.
Work with the CEO and other team members playing a key role in preparation of the semi-annual Board book with a focus on clarity, visual design, and eye to detail.
Manage all aspects of Board and related Committee support for the CEO.
Maintain all Board administration and governance documentation. Assists the CEO to execute Board development and recruitment plans.
Coordinate strategic planning efforts on behalf of the Board, CEO.
Administer Board meetings, deadlines, and upcoming special events
Assist the CEO with preparation and tracking of all Board related agenda items, motions and actions.
Maintain the collaborative workspace Groupsite for Board and related Committees and Board-related documents on staff shared server.
If you have:
Bachelor's degree and minimum of five years of administrative experience with a nonprofit organization.
Proven ability to treat sensitive/confidential information with appropriate discretion and diplomacy.
Ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of staff, participants, and stakeholders.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Groupsite, Wordpress, and SharePoint.
Availability for domestic and/or foreign travel as required periodically.
Previous experience providing Board of Directors administration.
Experience working with diverse populations and communities.
Previous experience working for a nonprofit organization.
Familiarity with certification work.
