| The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of the American Library Association, is seeking a Program Officer, Continuing Education. This position is ideal for individuals at the program coordinator level looking to advance their skill set and take their career to the next level as a program officer. Reporting to the Deputy Director, ALSC, the program officer will be responsible for handling the logistics related to the ALSC continuing education portfolio, including quarterly webinars and web courses, and coordinating in-person conference events, including the biennial, ALSC National Institute that welcomes approximately 500 attendees. Will be responsible for working with ALSC members to identify, develop, and produce continuing education content. Monitors the budget and coordinates venue contract negotiations, logistics for, and evaluation of, online and in-person continuing education and conference events. Acts as staff liaison to multiple member committees such as the Education committee and the Program Planning committee. Starting salary range from the mid-40s, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
