Job Summary
The Web Administrator is responsible for leading and coordinating the development, feasibility, comprehensive layout and relational functionality of the ASGE family of websites. This includes the content look and feel, branding experience, messaging, site features, information architecture, and technical operability of the suite of websites.

Oversee the development of content and navigability of all ASGE websites so that the user can effortlessly utilize site features and functionality to create a seamless user experience.
Plan, implement, manage, monitor and upgrade the organization's websites.
Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues.
Ensure business requirements related to site development are developed and communicated to external web support entities.
Oversee and update information architecture for ASGE websites as needed.
Oversee technical management of the websites, including basic programmatic oversight, management of external website support entity
Apply new technology, media, interactive research and emerging standards related to internet marketing and digital media.
Collaborate with content editors to ensure content is updated and consistent across the site
Conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information
Collaborate with all staff to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards
Ensure Search Engine Optimization capabilities throughout all sites and maximize results; ensure ongoing key/search word integration and align content with search capabilities.
Possess a clear understanding of content objectives, relational purposes, timeliness, and presentation.
Use site metrics tools to track site traffic, performance, and page views to regularly and systematically produce reports for site/system owners.
Manage budget in key areas including content creation and design, e-commerce, work order testing, online tracking and analysis, new site content development, and search engine marketing.
Deliver industry best practice and monitor content activities of competitor websites.
Other Functions
Review, edit and approve or reject work submitted and written by the web contributor team.
Manage and ensure follow through of all work orders include maintenance, repair, navigability and functionality, whether internal or external through vendor.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Web programming, content communications, marketing or related field required
Minimum of five (5) years web-related and IT experience managing multiple projects and deadlines required. Demonstrated success in managing a website is critical. Association experience is a plus/preferred
Fully versed in the use of the following tools/programming languages: PHP, JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS, Photoshop, Sitefinity and Wordpress CMS, Google Analytics, Web Security, and SQL database (Microsoft SQL server 2005). iMIS or other association management software experience required.
Experience in responsive web design, web architecture, wire framing, UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) required.
Understanding of marketing fundamentals, e-commerce, content creation and integration, campaign development and programmatic promotion

Corporate-wide understanding of programs, products, and services and the ability to align these elements through ASGE’s public face

An understanding of digital and traditional marketing, media disciplines and Web security
In-depth understanding of the technical aspects of website management, deliver on intermediate coding, page creation/posting and workflow with external vendor
Abilities:
Relate to people at all levels of the organization; facilitate discussions; build and maintain effective working relationships; operate as a self-directed individual and team player.
Working Conditions and Other Requirements
In general, work is performed in an office environment. This individual may be required to perform work off-site (i.e., hotels, conference centers, etc).
