As the membership Acquisition Manager, you will be calling on a rich set of qualified leads of prospects who have already expressed interest or were referred to us. Our membership and business services support new business owners’ success through our education programs on business fundamentals, accounting, and the legal aspects of running a third-party logistics business. In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of new memberships and our products, leveraging your first-rate sales experience.
Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy and the third-party logistics (3PL) industry has grown from a $186 billion to a $214 billion industry in the past year and is projected to continue growing quickly in the future. Our members range in size from startup freight brokerages to international shipping companies.
The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) provides leadership and direction for the 3PL industry and professionals to advance professional standards and business practices, to include the overall image and credibility of the profession and its ultimate contribution to society. TIA serves more than 1,800 3PL members and helps them better manage their companies for growth and profitability. No other association provides more ways for third-party logistics professionals to grow, connect, and protect their business.
Responsibilities of the Membership Acquisition Manager
Generate new and renewal membership sales.
Deliver the value proposition associated with TIA’s membership and business services.
Manage the relationship with the new member through two renewal cycles.
On an ongoing basis, nurture and cross-sell our business services to existing members.
Track all activity in Salesforce, maintaining sales information and deliverables.
Consistently hit or exceed revenue targets.
Qualifications of the Membership Acquisition Manager
Two or more years of experience in sales and products and/or services.
Strong prospecting and phone skills.
Strong sales process knowledge and the ability to run an effective, efficient process.
Experience using Salesforce or other CRM to manage pipeline and other sales lifecycle efforts.
