Oversees, develops, and manages all strategic, operations, exam development and test processes, customer relations and financial management of all AHIMA certifications globally. Manages and adhere compliance to all 3rd party accreditation standards. Responsible for global certification programs totaling $10 million.
Oversees test development, production, delivery, and post-administration duties for all AHIMA Examinations (domestic and international).
Provides oversite of Exam Development deliverables.
Oversees work of vendor/partners
Responsible all operational implementation and management of certification policies and procedures.
Primary AHIMA staff liaison to Commission on Certification for Health Informatics and Information Management (CCHIIM), an affiliate of AHIMA’s that is dedicated to assuring the competency of professionals practicing HIIM and is a policy setting body.
Oversight and management of NCCA and other accreditation
Maintains exam security through education and outreach in addition to the development of policies and procedures.
Communication and Industry presentations:
Respond to Public concerns related to the exam (i.e. scoring, AHIMA conference presentations, educator concerns). Keep up to date with professional conferences and present papers with regular cadence.
Monthly budget monitoring and forecasting. Annual budget setting. Staff management including goal setting, performance management for team of 8+ FTEs.
Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience. At least 7 years of certification and test development experience in an examination environment with global certificate holders.
Experience in an association or professional society highly preferred. Healthcare industry experience highly desired.
3 to 5 years of management experience including staff, vendors and member/commissioners. Experience managing budgets up to $10 million.
