Who we are looking for:
A high performing Membership Database Specialist to serve as the Membership business processes and databases Subject Matter Expert in support of the Membership Division. The selected candidate will support ASCO’s membership with enhanced business processes, effectiveness, quality assurance, reporting, and productivity through membership workflows, data integrity, membership workflows, and membership policies and procedures, to ensure reliable membership data and delivery of member benefits and services.
What you will do:
Manage and maintain the membership business rules and standard operating procedures; ensure accuracy reporting new and/or break/fix items including requirements, solution development and progress, user-acceptance-testing, implementation, and documentation of standard operating procedures; and work in partnership with Enterprise CRM team
Manage monthly membership processes such as new member billing, invoice adjustments, renewal billing, and process the inactivation of members for non-payment
Extract response and customer data sets for membership analysis from a variety of internal and external data sources, and conduct analysis, make recommendations, and implement programmatic changes
Ensure quality assurance of the current Membership processes and procedures, workflows, and system logic; support ongoing process improvements through analysis and solutions; and work across the team to address quality controls needed
Advance membership processes and priorities for the membership team and improvement and efficiencies in the CRM to ASCO’s members service experience, such as implementation and management of membership model, benefits delivery, management of dues and deferred revenue
Work effectively with a diverse group of people to facilitate the membership operations and reporting
Travel to Annual Meeting and staff member exhibits to support the department’s recruitment and retention program and collective team goals
What you will need in order to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5-8 years of membership experience and/or experience in association membership services
Association membership database and database reporting experience required
Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM/Association Management Systems (AMS)
Advanced database queries experience required.
Proficiency working with Microsoft products and a willingness to adapt to new technology
Experience with SQL a plus
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and to complete a high volume of work and meet deadlines with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Superb analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to think things through, anticipate solutions and next steps, and see the bigger picture
