Seeking discoverers of trend and purveyors of insights about a growing technology sector – professional audio-visual technologies! AVIXA is looking for an innately curious research professional with technology sector experience and international exposure to serve as a Sr. Industry Analyst. The individual will serve as a lead analyst for research projects focused on the size, composition, and direction of the global Pro-AV Industry. The role will involve a mix of written and spoken analysis, media relations, customer service, and sales support. The right candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience within the Pro-AV or other related technology sector along with an ability to distill data into insights. International candidates possessing familiarity with other markets, such as Europe or Asia, are encouraged to apply. We will also consider qualified remote candidates from domestic or international markets as well.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Analysis of industry forecast, survey, and qualitative data
Management of research projects relating to industry questions
Product ownership over branded reporting series
Handling of media and customer inquiries
Sales support through prospect call participation as a subject matter expert
Preparation of written and visual reports and analysis of industry trends
Preparation of Powerpoint decks summarizing research findings
Presentation to internal/ external audiences
Review of data for quality control purposes
Some travel required (up to 25%)
Pro-AV industry experience, preferably in a market research function involving work with international data
Demonstrated insights capabilities through past work. Writing or Presentation samples are required.
Media relations experience
Customer/ Client service background
Experience presenting data and insights to large audiences (100+ attendees)
Strong foundation in data analysis or statistics
Strong familiarity with market research methodologies and data collection techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing sample required)
Comfort with going beyond the numbers to tell what they mean and say
Second languages are a plus (Spanish, Chinese, German, and/or French particularly)
Remote/international candidates are welcome
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or statistics/mathematics.
Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of market research working experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience within the pro-AV industry or other technology sector
Expert level Microsoft Office
Proficiency with SPSS, R, Python, SAS or other data analysis toolset
Proficiency with Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization toolset is a plus
