Administrative Coordinator, Legal Department Chicago, IL
The American Dental Association is dedicated to promoting the public's health through its initiatives in research, education, advocacy, public awareness and the development of standards.
Special projects and assignments as assigned by the Manager, Business Administrative Services; providing administrative support to the Division of Legal Affairs; collaborating with the Legal Admin Team on Projects; and other duties as assigned within the Legal Division. Provides administrative support to two attorneys on a regular basis and assists other attorneys when necessary.
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of administrative work experience. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 7 years of administrative work experience.
Must be able to adjust to changing priorities and work well under pressure and be discrete in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Must be able to adjust and shift work assignments, as individual and divisional priorities change and as unforeseen matters arise.
Knowledge of general office procedures; excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, time management, planning, multi-task, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word
Highly Desirable Skills:
Experience with corporate minute preparation a plus.
Basic Excel, Powerpoint, Scanning, and Aptify a plus.
Familiarity with Contract/NetSuite Database a plus.
