The director’s main function is to increase membership to HTN in all membership categories and to develop and increase the HTN revenue sharing programs.
Sell membership in all categories (Lodging, Restaurant, Allied, Tourism, and Associate)
Meet and/or exceed sales goals determined by CEO
Input all prospective members into the data base (WebLink)
Document and maintain the “notes” tab in the data base for all contacts with members and prospects
Attend local association meetings and events across the state (renewing member contacts and making prospect contacts)
Follow up with new members when they join HTN and/or GNHA
Assist in contacting via telephone, email, or personal visits on delinquent members to secure payment
Work with the Director of Member Services to maintain the New/Cancelled report (HTN & GNHA)
Develop significant membership growth towards a goal of increasing the sales team
Coordinate and implement current and new member benefit/revenue sharing programs
Explain/train all other staff on new programs available to members
Assist publisher, LundyThomas, (Dee Lundy) with the HTN Membership Directory and Buyer’s Guide annually
Assist with ad sales
Assist publisher, LundyThomas, (Dee Lundy) with the Accommodations, Attraction, & Dining Guide annually
Assist with ad sales
Attend all staff meetings
Staff liaison for Hotel Caucus (reports, meeting agendas, etc) (HTN)
Staff liaison for Membership Committee (reports, meeting agendas, etc) (HTN)
Staff liaison for Women in Tourism & Hospitality in TN (WITHT) (schedule and plan meetings bi-annually) (HTN)
Assist in all marketing of the association (both HTN & GNHA)
Actively participate in CSRA and ISHA as directed by CEO
Attend other associations’ meetings as directed by CEO (TNSAE, etc)
Attend and assist in all association events
Maintain a positive working relationship with all board members
Assist other staff members in normal course of business activities when help is needed
Other duties as requested
