The Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association (EMRA) is a non-profit association serving more than 16,000 emergency medicine physicians in training and is managed by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
We need a dedicated professional to manage our representative council meetings, our exhibit programs, oversee our Committees, administration and processes, multiple projects, and events. Additionally, all staff assist the EMRA Executive Director and other staff in EMRA management.
Bachelor’s degree
Five or more years management responsibilities including supervision of multiple staff, project management, fundraising/sales, volunteer management, special events, nonprofit or association management.
Work with content management systems, communicating effectively with a high level of accuracy, monitoring and tracking budgets.
A track record of proven results, exceeding goals, and budget management; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions utilizing analysis, wisdom, and the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget; problem solving, project management and creative resourcefulness.
Strategic Vision and Agility – ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan.
Capacity – ability to effectively build organizational and staff capacity; developing a top-notch team and the processes to ensure the organization runs smoothly.
Leadership and Organization – exceptional capacity for managing and leading people; a team builder who has experience in upscaling organizations, ability to connect staff; capacity to enforce accountability, develop and empower top-notch leaders and cultivate entrepreneurship.
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Strong project management experience
Some travel required. Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends.
