The Position Reporting directly to the Director of Component Relations & Standards, this position is responsible for supporting ASQ’s technical communities and overseeing the strategic alignment of content and technical community operations. This position is also responsible for decisions that have a significant impact on the ASQ brand, member satisfaction, and the financial performance of ASQ. By communicating with our technical communities and ensuring our strategy is cascaded throughout these communities and advisory boards, you will help take the world’s foremost name in quality to new levels of member value. - Monitor performance and progress of technical community plans related to annual business plan and overall strategic plan.
- Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for respective technical communities.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of industry specific content created by respective technical communities.
- Work with appropriate internal and external groups to survey technical community leaders related to needs, satisfaction, and engagement, and manages individual community websites to ensure relevant content and brand consistency.
- Manage projects involving multiple parties within and outside of ASQ to ensure commitment and delivery of goals.
- Ensure that communities adhere to and operate in accordance with established agreements, business plans, budgets, legal guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Develop templates, models, or framework for improved management of communities.
- Regularly communicate to understand needs, resolve issues, and build relationships with technical community leaders.
Bring Your Best - A bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in project management, business or a related field or equivalent combination
- One year of people management experience
- Association or volunteer management experience preferred
- Budget management experience and business acumen
- Strong communications skills and the ability to foster engagement
The Location This position offers a flexible work-from-home option for the ideal candidate. Occasional travel to the headquarters will be required (if the candidate is located out of state) to foster collaborative working relationships with peers and leadership. The headquarters building is located in downtown Milwaukee, in the ASQ Center, immediately adjacent to major freeway exits, The Avenue MKE, and RiverWalk.
