Drones, robots, automated vehicles and more: Be part of the technology revolution in one of the hottest industries today! The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is seeking a high-energy, fast learner and experienced self-starter to join a growing sales team.
Your Day:
Confidently sell over the phone and in-person to contacts ranging from entry-level to C-Suite at both prospective and established accounts. Primary focus will be on advertising, exhibit space and sponsorships, and assisting in membership recruitment when possible. You will have the ability to customize every opportunity to meet your clients’ needs.
Listen to the customer, understand their needs and connect them with the appropriate strategic solution.
Communicate a vision for the client that earns their confidence and buy-in, verbally and in writing.
Write compelling, informative, and accurate proposals to sell the client and their team on the vision.
Identify new business by reviewing industry news, trade publications, competitive and adjacent events, etc.
Uncover opportunities with established customer base by routinely engaging to understand their evolving goals.
Record your communication and track opportunities in Salesforce to accurately report your current pipeline of business.
Maintain an active pipeline of business in Salesforce that totals to 2x – 3x your revenue goal.
Work independently to closely monitor progress against weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals in order to ensure meeting/exceeding benchmarks.

Energetic self-starting professional ready to take on the next challenge.
Computer savvy with business basics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience with or willing to learn new applications such as event management and email distribution applications such as a2z, Salesforce and NetForum.
Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 - 5 years of sales experience (exhibit space, sponsorship or advertising sales is helpful).
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
