The American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) is a medical specialty society representing approximately 1,800 transplant surgeons, physicians, scientists, and allied health professionals working in the dynamic field of solid organ transplantation. ASTS is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual to play an essential role in supporting the administration and success of ASTS’ educational offerings. This position will coordinate and assist with a range of logistical, content, and speaker needs for conferences and events. The position will also track specific compliance requirements related to Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit for members attending events and programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Assist with CME compliance documentation and reporting, and CME processes for educational events
- Assist with ongoing educational activities for Board certification for members
- Organize and enter content into mobile meeting app for the Winter Symposium, Fellows Symposium, Leadership Development Program, and other events as needed
- Assist with developing content for hands-on education programs
- Coordinate speakers for in-person and virtual events including tracking, outreach, and ongoing communication regarding speaker responsibilities
- Serve as primary staff contact for requests, and coordinate/support deliverables for joint sponsorship of events
- Serve as primary staff contact for requests for meeting endorsements
- Support the Hands-On Education Task Force as the primary staff liaison to include coordinating educational program planning, coordination of calls, and general support for the creation of new Hands-on educational programs
- Serve as the secondary staff liaison in supporting the ATC Planning, CME, and Vanguard Committees
- Coordinate the annual committee nominations process including organizing the nominations process, timelines, and reports to ASTS leadership
- General administrative duties and other duties as assigned
- Some travel required (2-3 times per year).
