| The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as the government relations intern. This internal staff position is responsible for supporting the association’s advocacy activities and learning events. Effective communication is key to providing helpful member service through phone calls, chats, and emails. The right candidate must be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor, while maintaining a positive and learning attitude. Key Responsibilities: - Learn and understand the CPA license to better assist member inquiries.
- Respond to member inquiries through email, chats, and phone calls
- First to answer phones for the association
- Make calls to members about events they might be interested in attending
- Data entry and provide input for social media efforts
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to work remotely as needed according to MDHHS/MIOSHA guidelines
- Able to build professional rapport with employees, members, volunteers, business community and other stakeholders
Desirable qualities: - Office or customer service experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
