We are looking for an Technical Account Coordinator to join our team at Planstone! This position is new and created by our team to assist our 3 Account Managers, Product Specialist and clients in using our software. This is an entry-level position at our company but does require some experience working in the association industry with medical or scientific associations. The ideal candidate would be an Administrative Assistant currently working for an Association (preferably for the education department) and wanting to further explore a more technical career in this industry. Planstone is located in Naperville, a western suburb of Chicago. This is a work from home position and are provided with everything needed for their Planstone home office. In this position, you will be working in our custom software every day -- editing, problem solving, troubleshooting, learning something new almost everyday. This role might be for you if you have experience in working with custom software, understand the association management world and:
- You have fantastic organization and communication skills. You will be assisting multiple team members at a time and juggling different projects simultaneously. Ability to schedule your time effectively and others’ is a necessity for this position. Staying organized and being able to communicate clearly is critical for this position to keep Planstone running smoothly.
- You are highly energetic and can easily multi-task. The assistant role invariably involves a high level of tact, independence, interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidence. In this role, you will be tasked to complete many items in an ever-changing environment, and you will need to pace yourself and not be afraid to speak up to ask questions. You should display the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- You have good observational and listening skills. We are looking for someone with great attention to detail and excellent note-taking skills. Our clients are our partners, and we work with them daily in Zoom, in-person, over the phone and via Basecamp. Learning their process and determining our role in how best we can save the client time with our software is key to Planstone’s success.
- You are willing to adapt and evolve. You must be software savvy and accepting of change to succeed in this role. You should also be able to function under high-pressure situations and stay calm. Understanding and using software is what we do. Embracing change each and every day as the product grows and as our clients' needs change is what it is about. Just because it was done a certain way in the past does not mean that is how it will be accomplished in the future. We need open minded, forward thinkers.
