The TRSA Director of Marketing is responsible for all digital and print marketing communications efforts promoting all TRSA programs and products including virtual, in-person and hybrid events, certifications, and online resources. Marketing communications supports three conferences, a dozen roundtables and nearly 20 webinars, as well as the sales of research, benchmarking, and compliance resources. The Director of Marketing provides marketing communications leadership and project management collaborating with internal and external customers and stakeholders on the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns including strategies, messaging, budgets, design, and delivery. The Director of Marketing is responsible for key performance indicators (KPIs) for the organizations vital few objectives (VFOs) tracked through performance Dashboard to ensure organizational key results in events attendance, registration and revenue objectives are met. The position manages internal and external resources supporting marketing communications with additional opportunities for growth. The Director of Marketing relies heavily on sustaining strong relationships between colleagues responsible for events, certification, membership, and government relations, as well as subject matter experts (SMEs) including managing a Marketing & Sales Committee.
The Director of Marketing will be engaged in new initiatives to promote the industry’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, supply chain sustainability, hygiene and environmental stewardship including the development of targeted messaging and resources that facilitate communications that increase awareness and educate end-users/consumers of TRSA member products/services, recruitment and retention of industry employees and the public.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Market and promote TRSA non-dues revenue initiatives including conferences, institutes, summits, town halls, roundtables and other virtual, in-person and hybrid events, certifications, on-demand print and digital resources including training, benchmarking, research and certifications:
Support organization Vital Few Objectives (VFOs) through the development of coordinated, comprehensive marketing communications strategies, plans and budgets for conferences, institutes, summits, roundtables, town halls, webinars and other products.
Manage and executes all phases of promotional tactics including message and content, design, production, and distribution.
Write, edit, and oversee design/production and scheduling of print and digital promotional materials including brochures, e-blasts, advertisements, and online content.
Work with internal resources to identify and compile target lists for direct marketing
Manage public relations/outreach including social media campaigns internal/contracted
Collaborate in the development of a digital marketing strategy to include new and social media marketing channels (e.g., videos, blogs, podcasts, and social media) including digital advertising copy, design, and placement.
Serve as Staff Liaison to the Marketing & Sales Committee to access subject matter expertise and develop content for webinars, roundtables, summits and other virtual, in-person and hybrid events
Coordinate the maintenance and updating of the TRSA website and other organization sites including Hygienically Clean certification
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to encourage frequent website content updates and navigation efficiencies. Analyzes site performance to monitor trends that forecast results
Support the organization’s brand strategy through accurate and consistent application of events brand and style guidelines including managing design and production.
Assess campaign performance and communicates results through dashboards and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree
6+ years professional marketing communications experience overseeing all aspects of marketing communications planning and implementation
Accomplished analytical, conceptual and strategic problem-solving with the ability to process both the big picture and details and produce inventive and effective promotion solutions.
Knowledge of complete marketing cycle and ability to lead all phases; experience producing multi-format marketing collateral (digital, print and multimedia).
Exceptional written communication, project management and organizational skills
Ability to conceptualize, develop and manage budgets
Ability to successfully manage relationships with internal customers and external vendors
Experience promoting association virtual, in-person and hybrid events such as meetings and conferences
Experience and understanding of best practices in traditional print/digital marketing communications
Organized, self-motivated and driven; and ability to work in a team environment
TECHNOLOGIES
Experienced user of Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Products preferred
Familiarity with database management tools, e-marketing and automated marketing resources
