Position: Education Manager Reports to: Director of Education
American Academy of Implant Dentistry is the first professional organization in the world dedicated to implant dentistry. Its membership includes general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists and others interested in the field of implant dentistry. As a membership organization, we currently represent over 5,500 dentists worldwide.
The Education Manager is a key member of the education team responsible for executing content for AAID’s in-person and online education, district meetings, and AAID’s annual scientific conference. The Manager collaborates with internal teams and works with subject matter experts to design, develop, and implement engaging learning experiences. 35% Speaker Management
Manages subject matter experts and speakers’ information
Coordinates and communicates with speakers regarding invitations, confirmations, honorariums/reimbursements
Manage various aspects of all educational activities including speaker management, ePosters, workshops, seminars, webinars, and table clinics
35% Course Logistics
Organize, track, and support content management (print and electronic), writing and editing course copy to ensure accuracy and quality
Assist the director of education with the coordination of program and speaker support for the annual conference
Responsible for the ordering and organization of workshop materials prior to the courses and on-site
Assist the director of education with scheduling, logistics coordination, materials distribution
Coordinate and distribute course participant communications and surveys
Lead staff member responsible for management of the District Meetings, including program structure, speaker management, and workshop logistics.
Work with volunteers, marketing, membership and all constituents to implement education programs and resources administered
Provide onsite support at Annual Conference, District meetings, and other in-person educational activities
10% Record keeping and Analytics
Analyze course evaluations and historical Continuing Education (CE) data
Manage learning library
Work with Coordinator and attendees to maintain and report CE records.
20% General Administrative duties
Act as liaison to MaxiCourses® and coordinate AAID staff to ensure that all documentation is received and distributed to relevant teams (accounting, membership, and credentialing)
Committee meeting support including reports, material distribution, and minutes
Cover phone and front desk during for staff breaks or absences
COVID-19 considerations: Our offices have been spaced to enable proper social distancing and advanced cleaning regimens are in place. Our staff are currently transitioning back to in office work.
Bachelor’s degree required
Three to five years’ experience preferred in an education setting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using a database and content management system, Cadmium, Salesforce and Nimble a plus
Excellent time management, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects/priorities
Strong customer orientation
High interaction with member volunteers
High attention to detail and accuracy
Required to travel at least three times a year
Some evenings required
