The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women's health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a CREOG Project Manager. The Project Manager of the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics (CREOG) is responsible for overall project development, administration and management of resident education programs and projects generated by the CREOG Council and the CREOG Education Committee. The Project Manager will oversee the development and execution of programming content and ensures it is consistent with CREOG's mission and goals. Define and oversee projects needed to reach targeted goals. Network and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. As a result of COVID-19, ACOG employees are working in a temporary remote capacity. This is temporary, and normal business hours and in-office duties will return to normal once federal and state guidelines deem it is safe to return into the office. Employees are expected to return to ACOG's National office located at 409 12th, Southwest Washington DC, 20024.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
Act as the liaison for the CREOG Council, CREOG Education Committee and the CREOG Executive committee.
Responsible for development and/or management of administrative logistics for committee meetings.
Assist with the execution and management of all Council initiatives and projects.
Manage CREOG exam development, execution, data analysis and surveys.
Oversee and execute wellness initiatives and serve as the primary point of contact for the CREOG Wellness Taskforce.
Assist administratively with the management and execution of CREOG-related publications.
Manage project planning, execution of and serve as the primary liaison for the subject matter expert volunteers/faculty for the CREOG Education Retreat, CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting, Residency Workshops and School for Ob-Gyn Educators.
Manage the development and execution of the CREOG/APGO Annual Meeting app.
Manage CREOG Empower Award Application administration and communication distribution.
Management of National Faculty Award, CREOG Activity Fee project and post-CME materials.
Primary liaison for APMOG and assist with the management and execution of initiatives.
Assist with the preparation, management, review, and maintenance of annual CREOG budget.
Collaborate with ACOG's Marketing and Communications departments to update, develop and disseminate resources and materials related to CREOG.
Supervise and manage assigned staff. Provide guidance, mentoring, and leadership. Create an inclusive environment, hold employees accountable, ensue completion of assigned task, resolve conflicts, conduct annual performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required, or minimum of 5 years relevant working experience. Emphasis on education and science is preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project management.
Basic facility with medical terminology is helpful. Knowledge of association management is helpful.
Passion for education and the improvement of women's health is strongly desired.
Well-organized, detail-oriented work style. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and to complete projects on deadline. Must be creative and possess flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
Able to work independently, to supervise and delegate work appropriately, and to function in a matrix organization.
Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and leadership qualities. Able to interact effectively with others at all professional levels. Able to negotiate and facilitate. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Strong writing and editing skills. Must be able to produce creative writing and reports, meeting minutes, etc.
Knowledge of budgeting and basic accounting is necessary.
High level of capability with computer applications, including Microsoft Office, survey software, project management software, and basic HTML and web design software. High level of facility with MS Excel is needed.
