NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association is an industry trade association with the goal of ensuring that rural Americans receive broadband services on par with those available to urban residents—and at a reasonable cost. We believe the future of rural America is directly tied to the quality and equity of its communications, and work to support the independent NTCA member companies who serve some of the most sparsely populated, highest-cost areas of the country.
We are looking for an early-career Member Services and Engagement Assistant to join our Member Engagement Division. This division includes conference and exhibit planning, training and education, membership, sponsorship, and marketing. The Member Services and Engagement Assistant plays an integral role in supporting each of these areas.
In order to be considered for the position, please be sure to include a cover letter.
What will you do?
- Provide exceptional customer service to our members and potential members, serving as a front-line contact for NTCA.
- Travel across the country for NTCA conferences, supporting member-facing events and working with a close-knit event production team.
- Develop relationships with representatives from member companies through attentive response to in person, electronic, and phone-based requests.
- Learn about a variety of Association functions through support of Member Engagement initiatives.
- Maintain the membership database and execute conference registration processes.
- Prepare for on-site conferences by arranging shipping, supplies, equipment and signage.
- Collaborate with various departments across the association to ensure daily operations, including but not limited to Government Affairs, IT, and Finance.
- Work in a newly renovated office space with a fast-paced and highly collaborative team that supports hybrid work arrangements.
- Join a team open to innovative ideas where you can contribute to improving processes, procedures, and the membership experience in a meaningful way.
The Member Services and Engagement Assistant position offers opportunities for an early career professional to develop a broad knowledge about conference planning and the work of associations, and enhance skills that will benefit your career, regardless of your path. You’ll be joining a team that values working collaboratively and supports employees at all levels to contribute to the mission of NTCA.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and excitement for domestic travel
