The purpose of this job is to serve our members, key partners, hospital stake holders, and co-workers.
Provides support, management, and coordination for a wide variety of strategic, organizational, and operational initiatives across the division of professional development (DoPD), including ACHE Choice Programs both in-person and virtual, international programming, and external professional society organizations with whom ACHE partners with.
ACHE is a hybrid work environment, requiring 2 days per week in our Chicago loop office.
Support of DoPD Business Development Initiatives 45% of Time
Works in conjunction with senior leaders to drive revenue by supporting business development initiatives both within the United States and internationally.
Develops project leads with Director, Business Development. These Leads can then be converted into Choice or other DoPD programs.
Identifies opportunities, plans, and organizes resources, facilitates and monitors delivery and completion of DoPD programs, e.g., Choice, Global Executive Program.
Works with senior leaders to manage deliverables, maintain target budget and established timelines, and successfully complete project outcomes, targeted goals and objectives.
Coordinates with the sponsors and faculty of each program, assists with program registration, materials collection and review.
Develops effective relationships and partnerships with various key stakeholders (both internally and externally), management, executive leadership, and multi-functional work teams by providing direction, assistance, and coordination of efforts.
Choice Program Delivery 35% of Time
Works closely with the Director, Business Development to coordinate all aspects of the program, post-sale. This includes coordination with the event sponsor and participating faculty, program registration, materials collection and review. Maintains Choice dashboard with key program data and metrics.
If the program is virtual, coordinate the course build in the Learning Management System with the instructional designer and quality check the materials before the course is activated. Host select sessions through Zoom, which includes managing polls, breakout rooms and general faculty and attendee management.
Based on program evaluation reports and other data, recommends opportunities for improvement to DoPD senior leadership.
Liaison to External Key Communities 15% of Time
Acts as staff liaison supporting Senior ACHE leadership to collaborative work between ACHE and external key partners or communities, for example, American Hospital Association, A2E, Institute of Healthcare Improvement, American Society of Anesthesiologists, National Association of Health Service Executives.
Engages in project management functions to assure work products are executed on in a timely and complete fashion.
Administrative Activities 5% of Time
Complete special projects as assigned by the Director, Business Development, or other members of the DoPD leadership team.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or education. Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare management, education, or a closely related field.
Must be well-organized and detail-oriented; able to work independently and make sound decisions in uncertain situations, especially while onsite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate knowledge and concepts clearly and diplomatically, as well as tailor communications to a variety of stakeholders and situations.
Strong data analysis skills.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Learning Management Systems and Zoom required.
Understanding of association management software and reporting.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-through on tasks under frequently changing structures, requirements, and work priorities.
Strong project leadership, organization, integration, and execution skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to initiate and develop productive working partnerships with key stakeholders, management, and leadership enterprise wide.
Ability to facilitate communication between diverse groups; effectively identify, assess, and facilitate improvements and resolutions and present recommendations to all levels of management and leadership.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative and team environment.
Must possess sound judgment, discretion, and a high degree of professionalism.
Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding organization and personnel information.
Ability to travel to support the project work, strategic initiatives and needs of the senior leaders.
Must have regular and predictable attendance.
Ability to make decisions and respond quickly to situations influencing decision-making process
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
