About SIR
The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) is a thriving professional medical society dedicated to optimizing patient care and improving lives through minimally invasive, image-guided treatments. Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the SIR Foundation Development team in various aspects of the annual fundraising strategy, including annual giving, special events, and donor communications. The intern is expected to work part time (~15 hours/week) and can be used to fulfill an internship requirement as part of their university curriculum.
Requirements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Fundraising
- Learn about and support donor recognition and stewardship efforts which includes manage database, acknowledging donors, updating records, and reports.
Event Management
- Assists with the planning and execution of annual events, including Virtual Balloon Auction and Gala
Communications
- Assists in the creation and implementation of communications and marketing materials, including emails, social media, direct mail and website content.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize work, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and work independently.
- Attention to detail/detail oriented.
Education/Experience
• Pursuing a bachelor's or masters degree
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Small, fast-paced open office environment with moderate noise levels. All SIR employees have the option for hybrid or fully remote work based on position and job requirements. Use of phones and computers for extended periods of time. Utilize office equipment and communication technologies for conference calls and teleconference meetings/webinars. Requires general mobility to move through the facility. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequent interaction with internal staff and physician members/board via phone, in person, email, and other mediums. Normal sitting and standing activities for an office environment. Some travel primarily for Annual Meeting.
